The elections for the upcoming 2017-18 fiscal year will be held July 12, 2017 prior to the monthly board of directors meeting.

The positions up for election are as follows.
Executive committee - 1 year term
President
1st Vise President
2nd Vice President/MDR (membership dues recipient)
Treasurer
Secretary

General board seats - 2 year term
Board seats 1, 2, 3

Here are the stages for the match this weekend.
Bring rain gear.

  • Pre-Registration is required.
  • Setup is at 7:30 AM
  • Sign in closes at 8:30 AM
  • Shots fired at 9:00 AM
  • NO AMMO CONTAINING STEEL ALLOWED

Help with setup and tear-down is greatly appreciated as we are all volunteers.

REMINDER: There is NO brassing till the trailers are put away.

NOTE!!!: We will be enforcing a no steel ammo policy again this year. Check your rifle rounds before you come. If a magnet is attracted you will NOT be allowed to shoot our rifle steel, NO EXCEPTIONS. We use a very strong magnet to test.

Round count varies, couple hundred of each type and a dozen or two non-jacketed (lead only) slugs will cover you.

AIPS 3 Gun 2017 Season Pass
  • We will be issuing 30 season passes for the 2017 season
  • Season pass will cover entry in all regular season matches (currently 6 planned)
  • Discounted rate over paying for each match individually
  • Season Pass registration will open March 1st at 7pm
  • Season Pass is non-refundable, however you may transfer your registration for any individual match to another shooter if you are unable to attend. Payment is between you and said shooter.

AIPS 3 Gun Fall Bash
  • Sectional style match (currently debating sanctioning this match)
  • 6-8 stages
  • Prize table
  • Club series championship shoot off immediately following match
  • Prize table and awards following shoot off

The Winter Iowa Games Trapshooting event returns to the Dragoon Trail Chapter on Saturday, January 14th, 2017. Registration starts at 9:00am with the traps open for practice at 9:30am. Competition to begin at 10:30am.

The competition will consist of three 50 target events: 16 yard, handicap and doubles. Competitors may compete in one, two or all three events for $11 target fees per event and a $20 registration fee that includes an Iowa Games Athlete shirt (while supplies last). Shooters compete against others in their age/gender division with 6th-8th Grade and 9th-12th Grade shooters also able to compete as a team. Medals are awarded to the top three participants in each division and the top four teams in each category.
